477 Program
The goal and objective of the 477 program is to provide opportunities for tribal members and RSIC residents to reach self-sufficiency through employment, training, and education.

Child Care Program
The mission of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Child Care Program is to improve the quality of child care for children and their families. RSIC Child Care serves tribal families who reside in the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony.

Education Advisory Committee
The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony’s Education Advisory Committee (EAC) is made up of five committee members selected to plan, recommend, implement, and evaluate all Reno-Sparks Indian Colony (RSIC) Education Department programs and services.

Head Start Program
The mission of Head Start is to provide quality care and education that support each child’s individual pattern of development and learning. This is provided in a loving and safe environment that is friendly and nurturing for all children, parents, and employees.

Higher Education Program
The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Higher Education Program is provided for enrolled members as a means of gaining an education or training with hopes that one day they may return to work for the tribe as valuable employees.

K - 12 Education Program
The mission of the K-12 Education Program is to prepare and promote the best possible educational opportunities for all students of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony.

Language & Culture
The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony’s Language and Culture Program’s mission is to help community members develop a positive cultural identity by learning their Great Basin languages and cultures (Numu (Paiute), Newe (Shoshone) and Washeshu (Washo).

Library
The mission of the RSIC Library Program is to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge and strengthen the RSIC community.

Student Family Support Advocate
The Student Family Support Advocate is responsible for the overall development and administration of the special needs program. SFSA coordinates and provides special needs services, assists families of children with special needs on their individual education plan and referrals, special needs counseling, and other service plans for students with special needs residing within the boundaries of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony.

UNITY: United National Indian Tribal Youth
UNITY’s mission is to foster the spiritual, mental, physical, and social development of American Indian and Alaska Native youth, and to help build a strong, unified, and self-reliant Native America through greater youth involvement.

Youth Employment Program
The purpose of the Youth Employment Program is to guide teens (ages 14 to 18) and young adults (ages 18 to 23) in their pursuit of responsible independence by providing positive work experience and by enhancing their personal and social competencies.
