Emergency

The Emergency Services program provides Emergency Planning for the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony , and program management for the Hungry Valley Volunteer Fire Dept, and all subsequent training related to EMS, Fire and Basic Life Support skills (CPR) for employees, volunteers and community members.

Office of Emergency Services (OES):

The Public Safety Dept was created in 2002 and has been designated as the entity responsible for all emergency response issues related to law enforcement, emergency planning, and fire protection for RSIC.

The Office of Emergency Services (OES) consists of two programs. The Emergency Services Manager and the Hungry Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. (HVVFD).

OES is staffed by the ESM and was established in 2006. The ESM was created to manage all of the emergency planning functions for the RSIC and work directly with the tribal LEPC, and serve as program manager for the HVVFD. The ESM serves as the official representative for the RSIC on the Washoe County LEPC, and attends the monthly meetings.
