The purpose of the fund development office is to search for new funding opportunities for the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and write grants and develop projects accordingly. Fund development coordinates with RSIC program managers to align funding and program deliverables.
In just five-years, fund development has added $5 million to the tribal coffers, including indirect costs for programming and services included in 33 projects. Fund development focuses on providing services to the community, be it food for the elders, youth intervention, language programs, or community wellness.
