The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center Foundation

 

The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center Foundation was founded “to develop and generate ongoing philanthropic support for the continued growth and development of The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center, its programs and the communities it serves”

 

The Foundation was established as a permanent charitable trust to raise monies for the sole benefit of The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center and its related programs and facilities. One hundred percent of donations to the Foundation are directed to a particular fund or program, without a fee charge or administrative costs.

Gifts can be made by check , credit card , online giving, and payrolldeduction . We also accept in-kind gifts and gifts of stock. We can also help you prepare an estate plan, including a will, or bequest, or other type of planned gift. All gifts are tax deductible.

Programs & Services

 

In support of the overall programs and services provided by The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center including, medical, pharmacy, dental, optometry, HIV/AIDS prevention and care, mental health services, youth services, fitness and nutrition, and substance abuse counseling.

 

 

 

Ways to Give

 

Life-saving technology, patient care, health education and specialized services are supported by charitable gifts. There are many ways you can help bring healing to patients and make a difference today.

 

Whether a cash donation or a planned gift, your donation strengthens the ability of The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center to provide high quality health care today and for the future. You may make an unrestricted gift to benefit the most urgent area of need or designate the service or program you would like to help. Your contribution is tax deductible for the amount allowed by law.

 

 

Memorial and Honor Gifts

 

Our Honor Gifts program is for those who wish to make a donation in memory or in honor of a family member or friend. You gift will be acknowledged and we will inform the individual or family of the honoree the gift has been made without revealing the contribution amount. An Honor Gift may also be made as an expression of thanks for the care provided by our health center staff.

Planned Giving

 

Planned gifts are made by generous individuals who want to ensure the financial future of the Health Center today and into the future. These gifts usually are made by means of a financial or estate plan, and often involve the use of gift instruments such as ** bequestby will , life insurance policies, gift annuities, and other types of planned gifts.

 

Any type of asset (cash, securities, personal property, or real estate) may be used for a planned gift, which may be modest or very substantial, designated for a particular purpose or unrestricted.

 

Any person who has made a planned gift to The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center Foundation is open to become a member of the ** Tribal Health Center Legacy Society .

**Bequest by Will

 

 

Everyone should have an up-to-date will drafted by a professional. This is the only way to ensure your final wishes for the:

  • Distribution of you assets;
  • Designation of an executor;
  • Appointment of a guardian for minor children

 

 

Leave a Legacy

 

Naming The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center Foundation as a beneficiary for a gift in your will is an easy way to leave a lasting legacy. Your gift can be for a fixed amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residue after gifts to loved ones.

 

Options and Benefits

 

You can also make your gift in honor of, or in tribute to, a special person. Moreover, you have the option of designating the department, program, or service of your choice to benefit from your contribution. Gifts to the Foundation can also reduce the amount of your federal estate tax.

Please let us know if you have named the Foundation as a beneficiary in your will so that we may properly thank you. We would be proud to list your name (unless you request anonymity) in our Legacy Society roster in the lobby of the Health Center (We only list names, not amounts)

 

Suggested Language for Wills and Trusts

 

Please think about these options before meeting with your lawyer-The language in bold shows various alternatives depending upon the nature of the gift (residuary gift, cash bequest, etc.) and whether the gift is unrestricted or designated for a specific purpose.

 

In a will: “I will give…”

In a trust: “The Trustee shall distribute…”

 

Choose one or more of the following options:

_________________________________(description; for example, real estate, securities, etc.)

Unrestricted

“…to The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center Foundation, Reno, Nevada, to be used at the Tribal Health Center where the need is greatest, as determined by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.”

 

Designated

“…to The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center Foundation, to be used to support (description of specific purpose, for example, a department, service, or program) at The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center, Reno, Nevada; provided, however, that if at some future time the Board of Directors of The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center Foundation determines that is has become impossible or impractical to effectively apply the gift made hereunder to the restricted purpose specified (e.g., because a specific department, service or program no longer exists or its operation has been substantially reduced or changed), then the gift made hereunder shall be used where the need is greatest at The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center, as determined by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.”

**Legacy Society – A Lifetime of Caring

 

The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center is fortunate to have the support of a group of special friends who have made a bequest by will or another type of planned gift to benefit the hospital. These generous individuals and families are part of our Legacy Society.

 

Membership in the Legacy Society is open to any person who has made a planned gift to The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center. The Tribal Health Center Legacy Society members receive a special thanks for their generous plans to ensure the financial future of health care in our community at The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center.
